CPEC: Chinese ambassador explained: “China has not created a ‘China debt’ problem for Pakistan”
October 7, 2021: China’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong, has categorically denied the American report that CPEC is a marsh of ‘China debt’ and made it clear that the US-generated impression is totally wrong that the CPEC has swamped Pakistan into Chinese debt. He appreciated the remarks by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning Assad Omar in this connection made in a specially convened press conference.
The Chinese ambassador appreciated that he ( Asad Umar) did dispel misconceptions, misleading impressions and superstitions regarding the CPEC and Pakistan-China relations and timely denied the
US report by stating the facts in it
The Chinese ambassador said it was commendable that Assad Omar had argued in A much convincing manner regarding a new US report criticizing the CPEC and Pak-China relations that the facts stated in the US report were completely wrong. He said that rapid expansion and progress of CPEC across Pakistan , in fact, is the engineering of development that has created much economic stability and so called ‘ China debt’ problem is simply meant to malign China. He said that CPEC will be a forte for the economic growth of Pakistan as it is generating new economic benefits – He said that such foul play of slandering will not affect Pak China relations but this move is sufficient to comprehend American mentality And negative thinking which is well understood –
